Celebration of Wood
MAY 27. Join us as we launch our new "Foundations of Woodworking" course series and learn more about woodworking of all shapes and sizes. See demonstrations of carving, joinery, boat building, and more. Learn about historic and antique tools. Stay for a panel discussion by RWBS senior instructors and learn more about upcoming classes. 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Riverport Wooden Boat School. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Foundations of Woodworking: Understanding Wood
JUNE 1. In this first course of the Foundations of Woodworking series, students will examine the nature of wood as a material of construction and the unique qualities it has as a consequence of coming from a living organism. 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Register now >>>
JUNE 3. Join HRMM and the D&H Canal Museum on this day-long car tour. We'll start at High Falls with a museum tour and Five Lock Walk, then have lunch in Eddyville at Lock #1, and end the day with a walking tour of the Rondout waterfront. 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tickets include lunch. Register now >>>
