RONDOUT II LIGHTHOUSE TOURS INCREASED KINGSTON, NY -- In order accommodate the on-going interest and increased demand, the Hudson River Maritime Museum, along with the City of Kingston and the Hudson River Water Taxi (which operates the M/V "Lark") has decided to add more docent-guided tours to the Rondout II Lighthouse. Reservations are made by calling 1.800.843.7472 or 845.340.4700 – option #7. Tickets are now purchased at the Hudson River Cruises Dock Office (the docking home of the "Rip Van Winkle" The "Lark" will leave promptly at 2:00 pm. The round-trip boat ride to the Lighthouse, and docent tour charge will remain at $10.00 per person. Passengers should allow about an hour and a half for the full tour. Operators of the "Lark" recommend the following in order to get the fullest, and safest, enjoyment out of this experience: no open-toed shoes (sneakers are best); bring sunblock, a light jacket and hat; binoculars and/or field glasses come in handy as well as a camera. Stair-climbing is involved in the tour.
