Wood Finishes: Varnish & Oil
This special workshop is offered in conjunction with the sail freight schooner Apollonia, which will be at the museum's docks undergoing restoration work for several weeks in May, 2018.
This course will discuss the various techniques of wood finishing and will include hands-on experience with varnishing spars for the Apollonia using traditional schooner varnish, as well as finishing wood blocks by boiling them in linseed oil and oiling mast hoops with rosewood oil.

PRICE: $190 for HRMM members (Household level & above), $225 for non-members. Registration for Saturday OR Sunday is $95 for HRMM members (household level or above) and $125 for non-members. Students are encouraged to bring a bag lunch as they are welcome to have lunch on board Apollonia.
