Foundations of Woodworking: Basic Joinery - October 16-18, 2018
In the third course of Foundations of Woodworking, students will learn the basics of hand joinery, using hand tools to create a variety of woodworking joints. This class will provide an excellent foundation for woodworking projects at home or more advanced woodworking classes.
Instructor: Michael Puryear is a furniture maker, studio designer, and teacher with 30 years of experience. He has taught college-level courses and has built a number of small wooden craft.
Prerequisite: Woodworking Tools or at the discretion of the instructor.
Dates (3 Classes): Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, October 16, 17, 18, 2018. 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Tuition: $190 for HRMM members (Household level & above), $225 for non-members.

FOUNDATIONS OF WOODWORKING SERIES
Foundations of Woodworking (FoW) is a series of four classes designed to give beginner woodworkers background knowledge and skills in wood science, woodworking tools, joinery, and shop safety. In the future, these classes may be required for more advanced coursework. Students will receive a discount for registering for all four classes. Cancellation Policy: Full refunds will be offered for cancellations that occur 30 days or more before a program's registration deadline (if no deadline, the first day of the program). Cancellations between 30 and 7 days will be offered a 50% refund or credit toward another class. Cancellations after the registration deadline or within 7 days of the first day of class (whichever comes first) will not be refunded.
