Foundations of Woodworking: Woodworking Tools- Their Use and Care; March 13-14, 2019
In the second class of the Foundations of Woodworking series, students will learn about the tools in a basic woodworking kit, including layout, tools, saws, chisels, and planes. Each tool will be examined, its use and proper handling demonstrated, tool maintenance including fine tuning and sharpening, and where to find good tools. Students are encouraged to bring their own tools for examination.
Prerequisite: Foundations of Woodworking: Understanding Wood, or at the discretion of the instructor

Instructor: Michael Puryear is a furniture maker, studio designer, and teacher with 30 years of experience. He has taught college-level courses and has built a number of small wooden craft.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds will be offered for cancellations that occur 30 days or more before a program's registration deadline (if no deadline, the first day of the program). Cancellations between 30 and 7 days will be offered a 50% refund or credit toward another class. Cancellations after the registration deadline or within 7 days of the first day of class (whichever comes first) will not be refunded.
