Groups
Groups of all sizes are welcome at the museum and tours can be tailored to specific interests or topics as well as to accommodate time constraints.
The group rate is $6/person for a tour of the museum. Groups of 20 or more people require a guide.
The group rate for weekday guided tours of the Rondout lighthouse and the museum is $15/person. This price includes the boat ride to and from the lighthouse. Call to inquire about weekend group tours to the lighthouse.
A guided tour of the museum lasts approximately 1 hour. A guided tour of the lighthouse lasts from 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on schedule and interest.
A $50 deposit is required for each booking.
The museum gift shop has been remodeled and includes a wide variety of souvenirs and gifts including historical books, coffee table books, fine art, HRMM apparel, children’s toys and gifts, local souvenirs, prints, and postcards.
Tour buses may park directly in front of the museum at no charge. Free parking is available in the public lots across the street or metered street parking is available directly in front of the museum.
HRMM is conveniently located on the historic Rondout waterfront, within easy walking distance of local restaurants in a variety of price ranges. Other attractions such as The Trolley Museum of New York, the Kingston Heritage Visitor’s Center, antique shops, boutiques, and art galleries are all within walking distance from the museum. Paved walking paths follow the picturesque Rondout Creek.
