Located on the Rondout Creek, Kingston, NY.
HRMM is an educational hub that includes an extensive collection of maritime artifacts and
historic vessels as well as offering tours on our
own solar-powered boat Solaris.

​Our campus is also home to our Wooden Boat School and Sailing School, a marina with public docking, and the Homeport Barn—a public events space.

On the Water

We are the only accredited US Sailing school in the Hudson Valley and offer youth and adult sailing classes, and occasional US Sailing instructor certification classes,

In the Wood Shop

The Wooden Boat School offers a variety of introductory and advanced courses to help facilitate growth in woodworking, boat building, and traditional crafts.

Follow the River

Our lecture and film series hosts historians, authors, and maritime experts for engaging illustrated talks on a variety of regional history, and maritime subjects.

Aboard Solaris

Our 100% solar-powered tour boat operates May through October with specially themed cruises on the Rondout Creek and Hudson River.

 The museum is the ideal place for your students to learn about maritime history of the Hudson River, its tributaries and related industries.  We offers field trips, hands-on-workshops, boat tours, and in-class programs. .

Inside the Archives​

Hudson River Maritime Museum has over 1 million artifacts in its collection and can provide support research on all aspects of Hudson River history.

Digital Collections

The Hudson River Maritime Museum has made a selection of its archival collections available online through New York Heritage. 

Docking

The museum's docks are available for any transient boaters in need of overnight or short-term docking.
