Group & Bus Tours

COVID-19 & Our Campus
To learn about how COVID-19 has affected our campus and the changes we have made, read the statement on our homepage at www.hrmm.org.

Group Tours

Although the museum is open to the public, guided group tours are not currently available due to COVID19.
The Hudson River Maritime Museum offers a group rate for a guided tour of the museum for adult and family groups of 10 or more people.

The group rate is $7.00 per person. Minimum 10 people.  Please provide at minimum 30 minutes of time for each group of 20-30 people when scheduling large groups.

Tours usually last 45 to 80 minutes, depending on time frame and group interest. Our guides are trained to accommodate a variety of audiences and interest levels and are very flexible.

A standard tour will give a brief overview of all of our exhibits, but we can also do themed tours upon request. Some past topics include transportation and commerce, travel and leisure, and Hudson River industrial history.

Group tours require a $50 deposit and advanced registration. The deposit will be subtracted from your total cost on the day of your visit when the remainder is due. Please provide a single payment to save time. We accept cash, check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover for payment.

To book your tour, please contact us at education@hrmm.org or 845-338-0071 ext. 11.

Bus Tours

Bus tours are welcome at the Hudson River Maritime Museum! We can accommodate groups of up to 50 at a time.

Besides a tour of the museum, in the past we have also offered joint tours with the Friends of Historic Kingston. This is especially helpful for large groups - half the group (up to 30 people) tours the museum while the other half does a walking tour, and then the groups switch. This program is approximately 90 minutes in length.

HRMM also offers a special Curator's tour (afternoons only) and can offer lectures in addition to museum tours.

For self-guided tours of the museum, HRMM offers a group rate of $5/person.

To book your tour, please contact us at education@hrmm.org or 845-338-0071 ext. 11.

Rondout Walking Tours

The Hudson River Maritime Museum offers a walking tour along Rondout Creek highlighting the industrial history of the region. This tour includes museum admission (self-guided) for all participants and generally takes about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on walking speed and interest level. Pricing for this tour is $7/person, minimum 10 people.

You can also check our events calendar or the event ticket area of our store for upcoming public walking tours and other adult programs.

To book your tour, please contact us at education@hrmm.org or 845-338-0071 ext. 11.

Combine a Museum Tour and Walking Tour

The Hudson River Maritime Museum offers a group rate for a combined guided museum and Rondout walking tour. The group rate is $10.00/person. Maximum 60 people and minimum 10 people. Enjoy a standard tour with a brief overview of all of our exhibits and a walking tour along Rondout Creek highlighting the industrial history of the region. This program is approximately 90 minutes in length.

To book your tour, please contact us at education@hrmm.org or 845-338-0071 ext. 11.
