Haunted Rondout Boat Rides

Haunted Rondout Boat Rides

Every October on the Hudson River, all the restless spirits of those who perished on its treacherous waters return to the surface and gather at the Rondout Lighthouse. Visible to the eye but harmless to the living, these spirits come together to remember and recount the perilous and often tragic stories of their demise.

To hear these tales and experience life on the water after dark, visit the Hudson River Maritime Museum after hours for a Haunted Boat Ride of Rondout Creek. Meet at the museum to hear the tales of these ill-fated spirits, then board our tour boat Solaris for a spooky trip around the Rondout Lighthouse. Who knows what spirits you may encounter along the way?

All 4:00 PM tours will be less scary and are recommended for families with small children or the easily frightened. Costumes are welcome, but please keep safety and comfort in mind.

This event is sponsored in part by Historic Kingston Water Front Revival (HKWR), LLC and, Fleet Obsolete, LLC, a WW II PT Boat Restoration Project.
