Congratulations to our landslide winner for Week 1 of the Hudson Riverscapes Photo Contest - Mark Heller!

Mark's photo, "Northbound Tug and Barge Breaking Through the Morning Mist, Port Ewen" had over 200 likes, and over 80 comments and shares. Congratulations, Mark! Since Mark is already a member of the Hudson River Maritime Museum, he will have the option to give his membership away.

Hudson Riverscape Photo Contest

The Hudson River Maritime Museum is pleased to announce the start of a new social media photo contest - #HudsonRiverscape. The public is welcome to participate on Facebook or submit photos via email. All voting takes place on Facebook - the photo with the most likes and comments each week wins a prize!

Photos will also be posted here on the History Blog each Saturday, along with the previous week's winner!

Here are the details:

How to Play 1.	Pick a beautiful photo, taken by you, with no people, containing the Hudson River or a tributary. 2.	Send via Facebook message to HRMM’s page or email education@hrmm.org with your name and a title or location. 3.	Watch HRMM’s page for the weekly posting. Find your photos and share with friends and family! 4.	The most likes AND comments wins! Winners are announced each week!

How to Play

  1. Pick a beautiful photo, taken by you, with no people, containing the Hudson River or a tributary.
  2. Send via Facebook message to HRMM’s Facebook page or email [email protected] with your name and a title or location.
  3. Watch HRMM’s Facebook page and blog for the weekly posting. Find your photos and share with friends and family!
  4. The most likes, shares, and comments wins! Winners are announced each week!
