Request for Proposal:
Main Building Heat Pump Design and Installation Services
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified firms with expertise in design and installation of
fully operational heat pump system to efficiently generate the maximum amount of heat and cooling
throughout several rooms of differing sizes and configurations of the Main Building of non-profit institution.
The work site is the Hudson River Maritime Museum on the Rondout Creek in Kingston. The outcome of
services will be the replacement of four existing non-functional heat pumps and installation of new heat
pumps with adequate capacity to maintain an ambient temperature of 66° to 72° in the offices and museum
exhibit areas, and with exterior units mounted out of sight from all vantage points throughout the surrounding
campus.
