Maritime Museum Hosts Outdoor Community Event Ahead of 25oth Revolutionary War Commemoration

Event Description: As we prepare for the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War next year, this event takes a look at 1775, the year before the Revolution began. What was happening here on the Rondout? Were people thinking about revolution? And how was life about to change forever?

This event begins right at 4:00 PM and includes:
-A lecture on the Revolutionary War
-Historical re-enactors
-Live outdoor music from the Yankee Brass Band playing tunes from the day
-Boat tours of strategic military points of interest along the river aboard our solar powered    vessel Solaris
- Senate House, Kingston, NY - History Tent! Learn about a 1700's Rondout Captain &     Senate House resident
- Children can do an archaeology activity provided by the   Senate House
- Keegan Ales - beverages available for purchase
-BROOKS BBQ chicken dinner options available for purchase
