1735-09-23 New York Weekly Journal;
Whereas Jane the wife of Nathaniel Sands of Long Island, in the Province of New York, is eloped from her husbands bed and board, in company with one William Davies, in the Sloop "Carolina," John Blaer Master, to N. Carolina, and has taken with her a Negro Woman, and all the household furniture of the said Nathaniel Sands. These are therefore to forewarn all persons not to trust the said Jane on account of her husband, for he will not pay any Debts she shall contract during her elopement.
