Come join us for this hands-on boat building course, offered to youth girls age 11 and up, in celebration of Women's History Month. Students will work as a team building a rowboat from start to as close to finished as they can get. Students can sign up for as many days of the class as they want, from one day to all five days.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a master woodworker and shipwright, Wayne Ford, whose experience includes participating in the restoration of the sloop Woody Guthrie and the sloop Clearwater. Wayne will lead this course over the week of spring break, teaching the team how to work together to successfully construct a small boat. |
