Woodworking, Boat Building, Traditional Crafts & More

The Wooden Boat School offers a variety of introductory and advanced courses to help facilitate growth in woodworking, boat building, and traditional crafts. Some courses require some woodworking and/or machine tool experience. Click on the images below for more information and to register for classes. Foundations of Woodworking, Fall 2023

This series provides an introduction to working with wood as a material, common hand and power tools, and the safe usage and maintenance of tools. Although the series is designed to be taken as a whole, individual classes can be taken based on experience, and at the instructors' discretion. To keep class sizes small, we offer two fall sessions: Session A and Session B. If a class in one session is sold out, please check the other session for availability. If you have any questions, please email the Wooden Boat School manager.
