Rescuing the River: 50 Years of Environmental Activism on the Hudson
This online exhibit was created as a companion to the physical exhibit of the same name. Tracing the roles of individuals and organizations in the environmental movement in New York State, the exhibit focuses on Scenic Hudson, Clearwater, Riverkeeper (and their predecessor Hudson River Fishermen's Association), and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, from the 1960s to today.
Rescuing the River has now finished its run at the Hudson River Maritime Museum (April, 2019-March, 2021) and is going on the road! Check here for hosting organizations and dates. If you are interested in hosting this traveling exhibit, please contact us at [email protected].
