Brightwork has something to offer everyone. From high-quality shopping opportunities, to the excitement of the National Boatbuilding Challenge, to live music, food, and kids' activities, Brightwork is fun for the whole family!

Kids' Activities:

• Children's Mini Boat-Building - build, decorate, and float your own wooden model boat! FREE (Sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Woodworker's Association)
• Facepainting - FREE (suggested donation $5)
• Signal Flag Name Tag - color signal flags to spell your name or initials! FREE
• Decorate a sailor's hat or mask - FREE (suggested donation $5)
• Outdoor Scavenger Hunt - If you find every spot, get free kids' admission to the museum! FREE

Family Activities:

• Rondout Lighthouse Tours
• Go fishing! Borrow a pole and catch real fish right on the Rondout with the Hudson River Fishermen's Association! Suggested donation $2
• Rowing machine races - courtesy Rondout Rowing Club FREE
• "Touch a Fish" with educators from the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater FREE
