The Hudson River Maritime Museum is holding a Practice Build on Saturday, May 30 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Wooden Boat School. Learn all the tricks and tips from one of the fastest boat builders in the nation. Tom Russell will guide you through each step required to build a 12-foot Carolina Bateaux in under four hours with special focus on safety and time-saving techniques. Plenty of time is dedicated to Q&A. We strongly encourage any team who has already signed up to compete attend this practice session. Anyone interested in learning about the competition or thinking about competing is welcome to attend. We will also hand out blueprints to competitors at this practice.
