Solar Boat Tours

Upcoming Solaris Tours

COVID-19 & Our Campus
To learn about how COVID-19 has affected our campus and the changes we have made, read the statement on our homepage at www.hrmm.org.
Join us this season on board Solaris, our 100% solar-powered tour boat and floating classroom, for one of over a dozen themed boat tours happening on the Rondout Creek and Hudson River. Our popular Rondout Lighthouse tours are back (Yes, you can go inside!), plus more fan favorites as well as some new ones. 2022 is shaping up to be a great season!

All boat tour tickets include admission to the museum which is open Thursday-Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm.

If you have questions about Solaris tours and accessibility, read more on our Visit webpage.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
In the event that the Hudson River Maritime Museum cancels a tour or charter at any time, full refunds will be issued. Same day cancellations due to inclement weather will result in full refunds and attendees will be offered complimentary admission to the Hudson River Maritime Museum. Should a boat ride or tour be cut short for any reason, full or partial refunds will be issued at the discretion of the captain.

Cancellations initiated by customers within 14 days of tour departure will receive a full refund. Cancellations between 13 days and 24 hours of tour departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of tour departure or no-shows will not receive a refund. Customers who miss the boat may visit the museum and an effort will be made to transfer their tickets to a later tour if space allows, but no refunds will be issued. Please call 845-338-0071 to cancel your reservation.

Public Boat Tours

During COVID-19, passenger capacity is limited to 18.

The Hudson River Maritime Museum is located at 50 Rondout Landing, Kingston NY 12401. Please be sure when you arrive that you are boarding our tour boat, Solaris, and not another vessel docked along the Rondout Creek. Often, visitors can confuse Solaris with the vessel located next door, the Rip Van Winkle II. Solaris is operated by the Hudson River Maritime Museum whereas the Rip Van Winkle II is operated by Hudson River Cruises.

You can purchase tickets online or call 845-338-0071 to register by phone. Looking for book a private charter? Please fill out the form below by clicking on the "book a private charter" button.
