The Hudson River Maritime Museum will be hosting and exciting after hours’ exhibit opening to coincide with Kingston's First Saturday event on March 7, 2020, between 5PM and 7PM. Meet artist Raymond Curran at the opening of "Henry Hudson's Timeless River: An Artistic Journey Along Hudson's Route from New York Harbor to Albany,". This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
This series of paintings start in New York Harbor and finish in Albany where Hudson began and ended his journey. The paintings are based on sketches and photographs mostly taken from a kayak or along the edges of the river. Each is accompanied with a brief account of Hudson’s journey, a description of the icons and some of the historical highlights. Ray has had a successful career as a professional urban and environmental planner, designer, and teacher. He is a founding member and vice president of the Kingston Midtown Arts District in Kingston, and art has been an avocation and obsession throughout his life. More information about his paintings, gallery representation, studio hours, and current showings can be obtained through his website www.raycurran-artwork.com. "Henry Hudson's Timeless River" will be on display at the Hudson River Maritime Museum from March 7 through April 19, 2020
