The Time Capsule What's your message to the future? Help Create A New Wurts Street Bridge Time Capsule!
June 17 & 18, 2023 10am - 6pm, FREE Admission
During the renovation of the century-old Wurts Street Bridge, a time capsule was discovered. No one knew it was there! Unfortunately, the effects of moisture and 100 plus years had taken their toll. Only rotted paper remained with the intended message from the past lost to time.
As work continues to renovate the bridge to its former glory, an idea emerged to create a new Time Capsule. Over this last year, the community has created a treasure trove of artwork; ceramics, sculptures, photography and interview recordings, answering the question: "What is your message to the future?" This event will showcase what's been curated so far and invites the community to create new messages to be sealed away in the Time Capsule for future generations to discover.
At the event, there will be interactive workshops for the whole family; a chance to record your personal message, write a message in a bottle, participate in a community mural, make a worry doll, and lots more! All will be archived on the Documentary website before it goes into the Time Capsule..
